Simpson sweeps event titles, earns first road win in team history

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Simpson College women's gymnastics team made history again Friday night, winning all four events for the first time ever en route to a 185.375-182.975 road victory over Hamline.

The Storm set the tone early, securing their first-ever team win on bars with a 44.625 to Hamline's 44.075. They kept the momentum rolling with a 47.125 on vault, 47.175 on floor, and 46.450 on beam to complete the event sweep.

Individually, Simpson gymnasts dominated the podium, earning nine total medals, including first place finishes on vault, bars, beam, and the all-around. The Storm swept the top three spots on vault, marking another program first.

ROTATION HIGHLIGHTS

BARS - Simpson gathered its first two medals on bars, with Evalyn Resnick tying for first with a 9.450 and Olivia Hedary placing third with a 9.150. Wynter Poolaw added a season-best 9.025.
VAULT - For the first time in program history, Simpson swept all three medals in an event. Kaelyn Tally placed first with a 9.625 followed by Poolaw in second (9.450) and Morgan Svec in third (9.425).
FLOOR - Tally continued her strong night, finishing second with a 9.625. Izzy Brown was next for the Storm with a 9.475, while Kaley Bristow recorded a career-high 9.350.
BEAM - Hedary tied for first with a 9.625, while Brooklen Morgan was right behind her, earning third with a 9.575.

UP NEXT
The Storm will now prepare for their first Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships on March 8 in La Crosse, Wis.
