Hedary breaks all-around record in front of home crowd

INDIANOLA, Iowa – Olivia Hedary broke the all-around school record, Kaelyn Tally remained undefeated on vault and floor at home this season, and the Simpson College women's gymnastics team registered a 188.350 against UW-Oshkosh on Saturday.

Ranked first in Division III, the Titans compiled a team score of 191.350. The visitors won bars, beam and floor, while Simpson won vault with a season-high 47.650.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS

Kaelyn Tally won her second vault and floor titles of the year, coming out on top in both events for the third straight home meet dating back to last season. She earned a 9.700 on vault and 9.750 on floor.
Olivia Hedary became the first Simpson gymnast to surpass 38 points in the all-around competition, setting a new school record with a 38.050. She improved her best bars score by over four tenths and now ranks third all-time with a 9.450. Hedary also set a new career high on vault (9.500) and recorded a 9.650 on beam, tying for third in both events.
Emma Tolbert earned a career-high 9.600 on vault, leaping from 10th all-time into fourth position.
Kaylee Paige also made a massive improvement on bars, moving into fourth all-time with a career-best 9.300.

UP NEXT
The Storm are on the road for their next two meets, beginning with a dual at Wis.-Eau Claire this upcoming Thursday. Simpson returns home on Feb. 23 to face Gustavus Adolphus.
