Storm place eighth in Buena Vista invite, defeating two conference opponents
STORM LAKE, Iowa – The Storm took to Lake Creek Country Club this weekend in Storm Lake to face off in the Buena Vista Invite. The team took 8th place in the invite, defeating conference opponents Loras and Nebraska Wesleyan.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- On day one, Kaylin Long and Miranda Deppe put up the best scores for the Storm, scoring 83 strokes for each golfer.
- The Storm finished in ninth place on day one with an overall score of 357, ahead of NIACC and Nebraska Wesleyan.
- On day two, the Storm finished five strokes better, with top performances by Maddy Streicher and Kristen Roe (87).
- The Storm moved up to eight place on day two with a score of 352, totaling their score at 709, only one stroke behind seventh place.
- Kaylin Long finished in the top-20 with a score of 171.
