Simpson women place 14th at Wartburg Fall Invite

WAVERLY, Iowa – The Storm women's golf team took to Waverly this weekend to compete in the Wartburg College Fall Invite. The team placed 14th after 36 holes, defeating American Rivers Conference opponent Nebraska Wesleyan.

Madeline Streicher's score of an 82 led Simpson to a score of 347 at Prairie Links Golf Course on day one. On day two, the Storm recorded a nearly identical score, putting up a 348.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Madeline Streicher recorded the lowest scores for Simpson in both rounds of the invite. She carded an 82 on day one, followed by a slightly improved score of an 81 on day two. Streicher placed t-37 overall.
• Kaylin Long scored a 92 during the first round of the invite. On the second round of the, Long made a six stroke improvement, ending the second round with an 86.
• Addison Brink recorded the second best score for the Storm on round one with an 85 at the end of the day. Brink placed t-69 to be Simpson's second place finisher.
