Women’s golf picked sixth in league preseason poll

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Simpson College women's golf team was picked to finish sixth in the American Rivers Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, earning 31 points.

The Storm are expected to continue improving in the conference this year, returning eight members of last year's team. Head coach Jeremy Johnson also added two freshmen and one transfer, totaling eleven players, the most on a team in recent years.

"We are excited for the fall season," said Johnson. "We have some women that are ready to step into a new role and compete for a starting role. I am also excited to see our newcomers come in and compete."
