Simpson finishes in fourth in Nebraska

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - The Simpson College shooting sports team finished in a solid fourth place out of 19 teams at the Greater Midwest Super Shoot.

The Storm saw multiple athletes hit the podium, highlighted by a Storm sweep in international trap and a tie for first in the men's CAA competition from Cannon Roberson.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Breydon Paxson (91), Wyatt Shoaf (86), and Roberson (82) finished in the top three spots for the Storm in international trap.
• Shoaf also claimed the overall win in super sporting with a score of 49-of-50, while Audrey Gordon took third on the women's side with a mark of 42.
• In the men's CAA event, combining the scores of American skeet, trap, and clays, Roberson tied for first for the men with a score of 267.
• Roberson also took second overall in the individual American trap event with a score of 95, leading the Storm to a second-place finish as a team in the discipline.
• Taylor Busho took home the gold in women's American trap with a score of 90, with Gordon claiming the silver with a mark of 88.
