Storm place third overall at Grand View
WAUKEE, Iowa - The Simpson College shooting sports team put together a solid showing en route to a third-place finish at the Grand View Open.
The Storm claimed its second top three finish of the year out of seven total teams. Trap, sporting, and skeet were the three disciplines used in the event, with the Storm also taking third in the trap and skeet events.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Breydon Paxson paced the Storm, recording a High Athlete Overall score of 277, which included a 99 in trap to tie for first place.
- Paxson also tied for third overall with a 96 in the skeet competition.
- Freshman Audrey Gordon also claimed third place in the female trap competition with a 96.
- Gordon's overall score of 252 across the three made her the top female for the Storm.
- Bradley Metz (269) and Riley Ericson (266) were the other top two overall Storm performers behind Paxson.
