Storm take silver in second league competition
INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Simpson College shooting sports team took the silver in the second Iowa League Shoot event of the year.
The Storm were led by freshman Audrey Gordon, who finished as the top overall female and was in the overall top three in the trap and sporting disciplines.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gordon shot a 276 overall, edging out William Penn's Nikolle Kusatz by a single point to claim the top overall female.
- The freshman also tied for second overall with a 99 in trap and tied for fourth overall in sporting with an 84.
- Taylor Busho took second in the women's event for trap with a score of 96.
- Breydon Paxson shot a 98 in skeet to tie with multiple athletes for third place, while Carson Cummings achieved the same score and placing in the trap discipline.
- Paxson's 272 across all three disciplines put him second on the team behind Gordon.
- Bradley Metz and Riley Ericson each shot 271's to wrap up the event for the Storm.
