CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The Simpson shooting sports club garnered second on Saturday at the SCTP Iowa Conference meet.

The Storm broke 1,332 targets out of a possible 1,500 during the event as Coe, Grand View, Wartburg and William Penn joined.

Victoria Barksdale finished second with a High Over All (HOA) of 254 of 300 birds, just two behind the winner. Paige Wood and Samantha Cardinal tallied third and fourth, respectively. Kyle Myers was the top shooter for the men after breaking 269 out of a possible 300 to end 14 shots behind the leader.

During trap, Meyers only missed one target out of 100 chances to end second. John Williams and Zach Hanson each had 94 for a personal best for Williams. Kylie Tierney captured the highest score for the women with 97, which placed her seventh overall.

Molly Sheehan and Matt Wilkinson tied for third with 96 of 100 hits in skeet, but Sheehan earned sole possession of third place after a count back, 66-64. Meyers ended with a 95 and Hanson tallied a 94.

After initially tying for third in sporting clays, Robert Rauhut moved to fourth after a count back with an 86. Barksdale shot down 73 targets to end one bird behind the top female shooter.
