Combs leads Simpson at regional meet
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Simpson College men's cross country team ran for the final time this season at the NCAA Midwest Region Championships.
Senior Miles Combs led the way for the Storm in his final collegiate cross country race, finishing top 50 in a time of 25:49.8.
"I couldn't be more excited about how we ran today, but also about the future of our men's program," said head coach Heath Moenck. "I'm so proud of Miles Combs and his development throughout his career. He was terrific today."
Cole Leggett finished second on the team followed by Cade Mash and Drew Engler. Freshmen Ezra De Cleene, James Johnson and Jack Cavan all made their regional debut and will look to build off their performances next season.
