Simpson men's cross country takes Bill Buxton Invite in season opener

INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Storm men's cross country team earned a season-opening victory at the Bill Buxton Invitational on Friday evening, led by Cole Leggett and Miles Combs,

Leggett took home his highest finish in his career with a second place mark with a time of 19:30.5, dropping over seven seconds from his time at last year's Bill Buxton Invitational. Combs cracked the 20-minute mark with a time of 19:58.7 and finished fourth out of the 54 participants. James Johnson, Drew Engler, and Jack Cavan all finished in the top ten to lead Simpson to the team title with a score of 33 points.
