Storm come up short at home meet, seniors honored

INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Storm hit the pool today in a home meet against Midland and Iowa Western. The men had several strong performances today in a variety of events.

In the 200 yard freestyle, Parker Ehrreich took third place with a time of 1:53.96, just a second off of second place. In that same event, Jay Ceperley took a fifth place finish with a 1:54.99.

In the 50 yard freestyle, Ehrreich took fourth place out of 12 with a time of 22.95 and Jared Oosterhuis came in sixth place with a 23.80.

In the last event of the day, the men's 200 yard freestyle relay team of Tristan Blair, Jared Oosterhuis, Parker Ehrreich, and Jay Ceperley finished in third place with a 1:32.50. This time is just under three seconds behind the program record at Simpson that was set in 2017.

The Storm will return to the lanes to face off against Coe on Saturday, Feb. 8 in Cedar Rapids.
