Simpson earns fourth place in A-R-C Preseason Coaches Poll

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Looking to turn heads and upset the polling, the Simpson men's swimming and diving team was ranked fourth in the American Rivers Conference preseason coaches' poll.

Led by senior Jay Ceperley, along with juniors Gabe Bruns, and Christopher Olds, the Storm bring back a trio of experienced and veteran leaders. Ceperley set the best time in 12 different events last season, highlighted by his record-breaking performances in the 100 freestyle, and 100 butterfly. Olds dominated the best performances list as well, marking his name in 13 events, along with Bruns and his eight events.

The Storm bring in a wave of new talent, including seven freshman, and one sophomore transfer. The season for Simpson begins next week with the Relay Meet on Saturday, Oct. 19 at noon.
