Swimmers take to Grinnell duals, Ehrreich with top-five performance

GRINNELL, Iowa – The Simpson men went to Grinnell to compete against both Luther and Grinnell in a meet. The Storm competed against each team individually with standout performances from multiple athletes. The best finish of the day was Parker Ehrreich's top-five finish in the 100 yard backstroke.

Parker Ehrreich took fifth place in the 100 yard backstroke competition, beating out seven other opponents in the race, and swimming a 59.94. In the 200 yard backstroke competition, three Simpson swim members finished in the top eight of swimmers, Parker Ehrreich, Tyce Dolphin, and Carter Pichler.

In the 100 yard fly, Tyce Dolphin took eighth place, defeating six other opponents with his time of 1:03.22. In the 200 yard free relay, the team of Jay Ceperley, Tristan Blair, Gabe Bruns, and Parker Ehrreich took sixth with a final time of 1:34.83. This performance defeated four other relay teams.

The men will compete in the Pioneer classic in Grinnell during the first week of December on the fifth and sixth of the month.
