Worth repeats as Academic All-American selection

AUSTIN, Texas – For the second year in a row, wide receiver Reed Worth has been selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team.

The first student-athlete in Simpson football history to garner the recognition twice, Worth graduated cum laude in December with a bachelor's degree in sports administration. He is a three-time academic all-conference recipient, two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree and now two-time CSC Academic All-American.

This past fall, Worth set career-highs in receptions (77), yards (1,160) and touchdowns (15) on his way to becoming the program's leader in career receiving touchdowns (35) and yards (3,265). He hauled in multiple touchdowns in six contests and registered 100+ receiving yards in all but two games for an average of 15.1 yards per catch. His success on the field earned All-American Rivers Conference First Team honors as well as D3football.com All-Region 5 Third Team accolades.
