Simpson records 38 Spring All-Academic honorees
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Simpson placed 38 student-athletes on the American Rivers Conference 2020 Spring All-Academic Team for fourth most among the conference's nine institutions, the league announced on Monday.
The Storm men's tennis team led the A-R-C with five selections, while softball finished second with nine honorees. Of those 38 selections for Simpson, 26 student-athletes posted a 3.80 cumulative grade point average or higher.
To be eligible for A-R-C All-Academic Team honors, a student-athlete must compete at the varsity level, be at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
