4x200 leads Storm at Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa — The 4x200-meter relay team brought home a first-place finish to lead the Simpson women's track and field team at the Spartan Invitational on Friday.

Highlights
• The 4x200 relay team of Elizabeth Burgus, Mackenzie James, Katie Clarke, and Katelyn Mangold finished in 1:54.89 to edge Cornell College. The win marks Simpson's second win in a relay event on the year. The Storm won the 4x400 relay at the UNI Jack Jennett Open on Jan. 26.
• The Storm posted a trio of fourth-place performances in running events. Elizabeth Burgus ran 1:01.75 in the 400 meters, Katelyn Mangold ran 2:27.49 in the 800 meters, and Courtney Neuendorf ran 5:21.73 in the mile.
• Audrey LoVan took sixth-place in the pole vault clearing 9-feet 9-inches and Kamryn Juni added a sixth-place finish in the high jump clearing 4-feet 11.50-inches. Juni jumped to a season and personal best in the high jump.
