Buchheit leads Storm at Nebraska Wesleyan

LINCOLN, Neb. — Emily Buchheit finished third in the 1,000-meters run to lead the Simpson women's track and field team at the Prairie Wolf Indoor Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Buchheit turned in the Storm's top finish in the running events, finishing the 1,000 in 3:21.38. Bucheit finished two spots behind winner Jadyn Agee (3:20.53) of Nebraska Wesleyan by 0.85 seconds.

Elizabeth Burgus added a 10th-place finish in the 400 meters (1:10.67) and Mary Wood took 11th in the 600 meters (1:48.25). Jamie Glanz finished 12th in the high jump, clearing 4-feet, 10 inches, beating her performance in the first meet of the year of 4-feet, 7-inches.
