Storm top Grand View thanks to doubles play

DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Simpson women's tennis team used strong doubles play to edge Grand View 5-4 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Storm (4-8) earned their first win of the spring season after taking 2 of 3 in doubles from the Vikings (3-5).

The No. 2 doubles team of Kelly Kuebler and Liz Nimmo rolled to an 8-3 win over Dina Kajtazovic and Tina Kajazovic while Sierra Griffith and Sarah Barry edged Lexi Ryan and Kelly Frisch 8-6.

Kuebler, Griffith and Barry added singles wins to help the Storm snap a four-match losing streak.
