Women’s tennis closes IIAC play with pair of losses

PELLA, Iowa — The Simpson women's tennis team closed the fall regular season with Iowa Conference losses to Luther and Wartburg in a pair of matches played at Central's Kuyper Fieldhouse due to rainy conditions in Central Iowa.

The Storm (3-7, 1-7 Iowa Conference) fell to Luther 6-0 before dropping a 5-0 decision to Wartburg. Due to only four available playing surfaces, the matches were played to decision in consideration of time.

Simpson will compete at the Iowa Conference Individual Championship on Oct. 13-14 at Waterloo, Iowa.
