Bradley finishes second in singles, doubles at IIAC Championship

WATERLOO, Iowa — Megan Bradley took runner up honors in Flight B singles and teammed up with Kelly Kuebler to take second in Flight B doubles to lead the Simpson women's tennis team at the Iowa Conference Individual Championship from Byrnes Park on Friday and Saturday.

Bradley won her first four matches in the singles competition, knocking off Wartburg's Lauren O'Brian in a thrilling semifinal match, holding on for a 6-1, 3-6, 1-0 (10-6) win in the semifinals. Bradley fell to Emma Cooke of Loras in the championship to earn runner-up honors.

Bradley finished the fall season with a 12-5 singles record, the most wins by a Storm women's tennis players since Lindsay Nash and Michelle Hartman had 12 apiece in 2012.

Bradley and doubles teammate Kelly Kuebler earned three close wins in the B flight before winning by default in the the semifinals to advance to the championship. The duo fell to A. Palacios-Quinonez/Megan Ramney of Dubuque 8-4 in the championship.
