McChesney, Langley grab two wins at A-R-C Duals

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Simpson wrestling team competed against three-ranked opponents on Saturday at the American Rivers Conference Wrestling Duals hosted at Nebraska Wesleyan.

The Storm opened the day against the hosts, but fell 30-18. Next, Simpson took on No. 3 Loras and were upended 44-3, then followed with a 37-6 defeat to No. 17 Luther and then ended the day against No. 5 Coe and lost, 55-0.

Dylan McChesney and Shyler Langley each picked up two victories at the event. McChesney had an opening day pin in 1:14 at 125 pounds over the Prairie Wolves' Tyler Laudick. McChesney captured a 9-4 decision over the Norse's Sam Camacho.

Langley waited until the end of the second period to pin his opponent in his opening bout to get in the win column at 174 pounds. After taking a break against Loras, Langley was back on the mat to win a 6-5 decision in Simpson's match against Luther.

Robert Silva won 10-7 at 149 pounds against Brayden Dowding of Nebraska Wesleyan. Shane Mathias picked up a 6-2 triumph against the Prairie Wolves at 184. Colton Kinnison was the lone victor against Loras after owning a 7-3 decision at 285 pounds.
