Edwardson earns second-straight IIAC Runner of the Week award

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - For the second week in a row, Simpson cross country runner Ryan Edwardson earned Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Runner of the Week honors, as announced by the conference office today.

Edwardson, a senior from Spencer, Iowa, was the sixth collegiate – and first Iowa Conference -- runner across the line out of a field of 437 at the Wisconsin-La Crosse Jim Drews Invitational. He stopped the clock in 25 minutes, 44.9 seconds – 23.1 seconds back of individual champion Stanley Kebenei of Iowa Central. The Storm finished 15th as a team.

Edwardson will be a top contender for the upcoming Iowa Conference Championship, which takes place in Decorah, Iowa on Oct. 29.
