Storm men take fourth at Central Dutch Invitational

PELLA, Iowa - John Warnke led the Simpson men's cross country team to a fourth-place finish at the Central Dutch Invitational on Saturday.

Without top-runner Ryan Edwardson, Warnke paced the Storm with a 14th-place finish in the individual race, navigating the 6km course in 20:24.9.

Mitchell Davis followed Warnke, placing 22nd (20:54.5). Matt Stone took 23rd (20:57.6), Mitch Hill 27th (21:08.2) and Mark Foster 28th (21:08.9). Pat Gerhardt came in 39th (21:34.4) and Bryce Phillips rounded out the top seven in 57th (22:18.5).

Simpson will have three weeks to prepare for its next competition when it travels to Rock Island, Ill. for the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational.
