Bob Nutgrass appointed Athletic Director

Simpson College President Jay Simmons announced Wednesday that Bob Nutgrass, a long-time staff member and current assistant athletic director, will become the college’s next Athletic Director. He replaces Brian Niemuth, who has held the role for the past five years in addition to serving as the head women’s basketball coach.

Andrew Lallier carded an opening-round 75 to lead the Simpson men's golf team at the first round of the Iowa Conference Tournament from Finkbine Golf Course. The Storm sit in sixth place after shooting 313 in the opening round, one stroke behind Wartburg and three ahead of Buean Vista.

Freshman Nathan Eaton led Simpson for a second day in a row, carding a team-low 72 to tie for second and lead Simpson to a first-place finish of seven teams at the Simpson Invitational II on Wednesday at Indianola Country Club.
