Eaton leads Storm at first spring invitational

NORWALK, Iowa -- Nathan Eaton fired a 78 to tie for eighth and lead the Simpson men's golf team in the first of two Simpson Spring Invitationals from The Legacy Golf Club on Tuesday.

The Storm shot 320 as a team, good for third in the five-team tournament. Simpson's second team shot 344 to place fifth.

Eaton was the lone top-10 finisher for the Storm. Blake Bender tied for 14th after carding an 80 while Nick Hartman (81), Andrew Lallier (81), Korbin Sesker (84) and Ben Butler (84) all finished in the top 20.

Simpson hosts another invitational Wednesday at Indianola Country Club.
