Hartman places second at Wartburg Fall Invite
WAVERLY, Iowa - Nick Hartman improved his game to land him in second place and the Storm shaved 11 strokes off to jump to fourth place after day two of the Wartburg Fall Invite on Saturday.
Simpson shot 300, improving 11 strokes from Friday's first round. The Storm's two-round total of 611 set them seven strokes behind third-place Dubuque. Kirkwood remained in first place (580) to beat out Coe (598) by 18 strokes.
Hartman finished in second place and carded an even score (72) to tie his career best. He totaled 145 to end the weekend, three strokes behind Kirkwood's JD Goodfellow. Ben Butler tied for 17th, shooting another 76, while Nathan Eaton improved the most for the Storm with a 75 the second round, six strokes better than Friday.

The men's golf team head to Decatur, Ill. for the two-day Hopkins Golf Collegiate Classic on Saturday, Sept. 30 to end the fall season.
