Storm in sixth after day one of IIACs
IOWA CITY -- Andrew Lallier carded an opening-round 75 to lead the Simpson men's golf team at the first round of the Iowa Conference Tournament from Finkbine Golf Course. The Storm sit in sixth place after shooting 313 in the opening round, one stroke behind Wartburg and three ahead of Buean Vista.
Lallier is in a five-way tie for seventh after the first round, five strokes behind day one leader Christian Hall of Nebraska Wesleyan. The Storm's low-scorer on the season, Nathan Eaton shot a 76 to tie for 12th. Korbin Sesker shot four strokes better than his season average, carding a 77 to tie for 18th.
Nebraska Wesleyan leads the team standings after shooting 297 in the opening round. The first weekend of the tournament concludes Saturday at Finkbine.
