Women’s wrestling tallies first home dual victory
INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson College women's wrestling team made more history on Thursday night by tallying their first home dual victory against Cornell, 39-9.
The Storm (12-3) scored the first 29 points of the dual via four forfeits, a pin by Ashley Cannon and a 10-0 technical fall by Lily McMahon. Cornell (0-1) got on the board with a technical fall at 143 pounds before Simpson added another 10 points with an injury default and speedy pin by Kassidee Savaria in 29 seconds. The Storm forfeited the 191-pound match to set the final score at 39-9.

The Storm will make their way to Moline, Illinois for the Division III Invitational on Feb. 2-3.
