Rogers named Academic All-District

INDIANOLA, Iowa – Simpson volleyball player Kim Rogers was recently named to the Capital One Academic All-District 8® First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

As a first team selection, Rogers advances to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first, second and third team All-America honors will be selected in December.

A senior defensive specialist from Omaha, Neb., Rogers carried a 3.95 cumulative grade point average into the fall semester as a management and marketing double major. Rogers led the team in digs (521) and service aces (42), ranking third and fifth in the conference, respectively. She finished her career with 1,375 digs, good for fifth in program history.

Rogers was a four-year starter for the Storm, appearing in 126 matches throughout her career. She is on pace to be a three-time Iowa Conference All-Academic honoree.
