Storm collect A-R-C victory over Buena Vista

STORM LAKE, Iowa – Simpson College women's tennis picked up its first American Rivers Conference victory of the season with a 6-3 defeat of Buena Vista on Friday.

With four singles victories and two doubles wins, the Storm (1-2, 1-1 A-R-C) extended their win streak over the Beavers (0-4, 0-4 A-R-C) to nine matches.

Bella Tranquilino, Donni Kinghorn, Kennedi Wright and Carina Covington all won their singles matches, while the duos of Tranquilino/Wright and Kinghorn/Anna Schewe picked up victories in doubles action. Freshman Kira Anderson took the second game from Buena Vista's Abigail King at No. 5 singles, but dropped the tiebreaker.

Simpson will make its way to Lincoln for another league match on Saturday. The Storm and Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves will take the court at 11 a.m.
