Storm fall to Wartburg, qualify for IIAC Tournament

INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Simpson women's tennis team lost to Wartburg 7-2 on Sunday at Buxton Memorial Tennis Complex.

Despite the loss, the Storm (7-6, 3-5 Iowa Conference) earned the No. 6 seed in the upcoming Iowa Conference Team Tournament, which begins Oct. 7 in Cedar Rapids.

Lindsay Nash beat Leanna Jenkins 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 singles, Simpson's only win in singles competition.

The Storm's lone win in doubles came at the No. 1 spot, where Tiffany Bost and Allison Anderson teammed up to beat Lindsay Greiner and Jenny Dallenbach 8-5.
