Wolff shines in comeback, Simpson falls to Dubuque in first dual

INDIANOLA, Iowa – After missing last season due to injury, senior Andrew Wolff made a statement in his return, delivering a swift 42-second pin to lead the Simpson College men's wrestling team in its American Rivers Conference opener against Dubuque.

Wolff's quick victory cut Dubuque's early lead to 12-6, giving the Storm (0-1, 0-1 A-R-C) a boost three matches into the dual. Jonathan Valdez (133) and Ethan Riesselman (141) both wrestled tight matches for the Storm midway through, but Dubuque (1-0, 1-0 A-R-C) managed to pull away, building a 29-6 lead.

The Spartans closed out the dual with a major decision, a 13-8 victory, and a 16-1 technical fall to secure a 41-6 win.
