LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Maddie Luderman of the Simpson College softball team was named to the Tucci/NFCA Division III Player and Pitcher of the Year Watchlist, as announced by the National Collegiate Fastpitch Association.

Luderman's 2023 season has been nothing short of spectacular thus far, with the senior producing a slashline of .462/.532/.910 to go along with seven home runs and 35 RBIs. Leading the conference in multiple categories, Luderman is close behind the single-season Storm record for RBI's which is 45. Luderman also won her second career A-R-C Player of the Week award earlier in the campaign after a dominating week in the team's trip to Florida.

Behind the plate, Luderman has also been extremely effective, garnering a fielding percentage of .970 with 113 putouts.

Voted on by the NFCA's Division III All-America Committee, the 2023 Tucci/NFCA Player and Pitcher of the Year will be announced on June 9. All student-athletes are eligible for the end-of-the-season award and do not have to be on this list to be considered by the committee.
