Storm men remain in regional rankings

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- In the second week of the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Regional Rankings, the Simpson men's cross country team remain at No. 8 in the Central Region, announced Tuesday by USTFCCCA.

USTFCCCA Regional Rankings — Week 2

The Storm raced at the Bradley Intercollegiate Invitational on Friday, Sept. 20 and finished fourth out of 19 teams mixed up of Division I, II, III and NAIA institutions. Spencer Moon once again led the team in his rookie season and ended 17th with a time of 26:40.8 in his first collegiate 8K race. Jonathan Facio followed in 40th and Ryan Courtney rounded out the top-three runners for Simpson.

Of the top-10 teams in the Central Region, four are from the American Rivers Conference. Wartburg was tabbed first, Luther in fifth, Loras in sixth and the Storm round out the conference programs.

Simpson is back on the course Saturday, Oct. 5 in Waverly, Iowa for the Dan Huston Invitational.
