Storm men return to regional rankings

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- After a several week hiatus from the regional rankings, the Simpson men's cross country team is now No. 10 in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Central Region rankings, announced Tuesday by the association.

USTFCCCA Regional Rankings — Week 6

The Storm were previously ranked as high as No. 8 in the rankings at the beginning of the season, but fell out of the top 10. Due to a strong performance this last weekend at the Drews/Neubauer Invitational in Ettrick, Wis., Simpson is now back in after finishing eighth of out of 21 teams and ended ahead of one ranked team in the region. Jonathan Facio finished first on the team during the 8K, while Shane Breheny ended right after his teammate.

Out of the 10 teams ranked in the Central Region, six of those hail from the American Rivers Conference.

Simpson returns to the course on Saturday, Nov. 2 in the American Rivers Conference Championship hosted by Dubuque.
