• My recliner with a remote in my hand watching sports

• Pickard Park, home of Simpson cross country

• Pfeiffer Dining Hall
Favorite thing about Simpson?
• The ability to recruit and retain such awesome young people.
Family?
• My wife Mickey, and our four-year-old cat, Vivian Moenck
What would you be doing if you were not coaching?
• Scary question - no idea
Best athletic moment?
• Playing a small role in the 2017 Simpson Homecoming dodgeball competition against the assistant coaches. It was a true David vs. Goliath story, with the head coaches prevailing.
Who would play you in a movie?
• The Rock or Vin Diesel
Hobbies outside of coaching?
• Beating my wife in cards
• Fishing at one of the finest lakes in the midwest - Lake Ahquabi
• Hanging with my neighbor, professor Busby
Role model(s) and why?
• My wife, because she is 10 times the person I am.
• My parents because they are the best.
• Two older brothers for paving the road for me in distance running and for setting the standard low in the sport.
• My coach at Webster City, Mr. Bussan and my coach at the University of Iowa, coach Wieczorek. They both are unbelievable leaders and men who I strive to be like daily.
• All my fellow coaches at Simpson. Fortunate to get to work with some of the finest people each day.
