Sedlock's last minute goal lifts Simpson to 1-0 road victory over Cornell

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - Battling on the road against Cornell, the score remained scoreless until the 81st minute when a strike from Tim Sedlock found the back of the net, propelling the Storm to a 1-0 victory on Wednesday evening.

The Storm (3-2-0) fired shot after shot at the Cornell (2-2-0) defense all match until in the final minutes, Sedlock broke the scoreless tie with his first goal of the season. Simpson's defense held strong once again, recording their third shutout of the season with the combined efforts of Mason Chaplin and Arya Nowroozi going for three saves and another clean sheet.

• After a goal kick from Cornell led to a throw-in for the Storm, Sedlock was able to find space and take a shot, hitting low center in the goal that was saved, but Sedlock managed to rebound and score on the second attempt.
