Simpson leads A-R-C with 17 Winter All-Academic selections

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Simpson College led the American Rivers Conference with 17 student-athletes named to the 2020-21 Winter All-Academic Team, the conference announced Wednesday.

The Storm women's basketball team produced 10 honorees and the men had seven selections, which led the sport. Between the two squads, Simpson had two student-athletes with a 4.0 grade-point average and eight with a 3.8 GPA or higher.

To be eligible for A-R-C All-Academic Team honors, a student-athlete must compete at the varsity level, be at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
