Simpson changes weekend schedules for women's golf, tennis

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- The Simpson women's golf and tennis teams will have their season openers pushed back several days after their upcoming weekend schedules have been altered. The golf squad was set to take part in the Luther Norse Classic, while the tennis team was going to host Loras.

"This week, all our in-season athletic teams underwent baseline COVID-19 testing, in accordance with NCAA regulations," said Heidi Levine, vice president for Student Development and Planning and chair, Crisis Management Team. "We have canceled the events scheduled for this weekend as we await the results."

Simpson women's tennis will travel to Buena Vista on Friday, Sept. 11 for its season opener, while the golf team begins its fall campaign on Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Wartburg Invitational. Visit SimpsonAthletics.com to stay up-to-date with all of the Storm athletic schedules.
