Storm close weekend at IIAC Championships

DUBUQUE, Iowa — Courtney Neuendorf and Sadie Timms paced the Simpson women's track and field team on the final day of the Iowa Conference Championships on Saturday.

Neuendorf ran to an eighth place finish in the 3,000 meters and Timms came in 10th in the mile to lead the Storm, who placed ninth. 

Neuendorf ran 10:43.71 in the 3,000 and Timms finished the mile in a career-best 5:21.90.

Jaycie Owens added an 11th-place effort in the 400 meters, running a career-best 1:03.13. The 4x800-meter relay added a seventh-place finish, as Timms, Jessica Lamb, Mary Wood and Jessica Gronke ran 10:09.36.
