Storm fall to William Jewell, Coe

INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson women's tennis team suffered setbacks to William Jewell and Coe on Saturday.

The Storm lost to NCAA Division II William Jewell and perennial Iowa Conference title-contender Coe 9-0.

"We competed well today and had chances in some points, but in the end we couldn't get on the board," head coach Lindsay Chase said.

The doubles team of Tiffany Bost and Allison Anderson gave the Storm (1-2) their best chance against Edgewood, battling Kristen Stivers and Katy Lehenbauer to an 8-4 decision at No. 1.

Simpson returns to the court Wednesday, Sept. 8 when it hosts Graceland at 3:30 p.m.
