Simpson wrestlers head to the desert

The Simpson wrestling team is heading to Las Vegas over the holiday break to compete at a dual event hosted by Wartburg College.

The Wartburg Desert Duals will be held in the ballrooms of the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas on Sunday, Dec. 20. Simpson is one of 12 teams attending.

Simpson will wrestle four dual meets. In the first round, Simpson is scheduled to take on Pacific (Ore.). For the Storm's second match, it will wrestle Embry-Riddle (Fla.). The final two matches will come against Grand Canyon (Ariz.) and UW-Stevens Point.

Action begins at 10 a.m. CST. Sunday Dec. 20.

Other schools competing at the Desert Duals include: Coe, Grand View, North Central (Ill.), Elmhurst (Ill.), Concordia (Minn.) and Southern Maine.
