Storm card fourth at Simpson Invite

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Blake Bender recorded a top-10 finish to lead the charge for the Simpson men's golf team at the Simpson Invite on Wednesday at Indianola Country Club as the team shot a 328 for fourth.

William Penn won the event with a 304, while Grand View came in second at 316. Graceland was third and Central finished right behind the Storm with a 332.

Bender shot a 79 to tie for ninth and teammate Austin Hronich fired an 80 for 13th. Nathan Eaton cared an 82 and Lucas Hemphill tallied an 87. Zach Kreider locked up the last scoring slot with a 100 for Simpson.

The Storm travel to LIncoln, Neb. for the Nebraska Wesleyan Invite this Sunday. Competition runs through Monday.
