Storm tie for 22nd at Midwest Region Classic

GALENA, Ill. -- Nathan Eaton turned in the low score of the day with an 83 to lead the Simpson men's golf team on the final day of the Midwest Region Classic at the Eagle Ridge Resort on Saturday.

The Storm tied for 22nd with Bethany Lutheran in the field of 32 teams, shooting 664 for the weekend.

Eaton opened the tournament with a 77 then closed with an 83 to tie for 53rd in the field of 176 golfers. Carthage's Jordan Knutson finished the weekend 3-under to win the tournament by two strokes.

Andrew Lallier, Reid Cobb and Blake Bender all shot 84 on Saturday. Lallier tied for 62nd, Cobb tied for 124th and Bender tied for 135th.

Konner Johnson stayed consistent with a second-straight 88 to tie for 147th and Lucas Hemphill shaved 11 strokes from round one, shooting 85 to tie for for 157th.
