Women’s volleyball honored by AVCA for classroom excellence
LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the 16th season in a row, the Simpson College women's volleyball team has achieved the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.
The Storm have collected a total of 18 team academic awards from the AVCA since the organization started recognizing teams for maintaining a year-long grade point average of at least 3.3 in 1992-93. Simpson's 16-year streak is currently the sixth longest in all of NCAA Division III.
More than 1,400 collegiate and high school teams earned the academic honor this year, a new record.
