Simpson falls to Cornell

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – Cory Stratton and Greg Harlow earned wins but the Simpson wrestling team lost to Cornell 40-6 on Tuesday night.

Stratton came away with a 7-0 decision over Josh Guenther at 157 and Harlow beat Benjamin Rosen 7-3 at 165 for the Storm (0-1), who lost their first dual of the season.

Jeff Sand battled Ray Feliz at 141 before falling 11-8.

A fromer member of the Iowa Conference and current Midwest Conference foe, Cornell (2-1) notched five pins in the win.

Simpson hosts Williams and Wartburg in a double-dual on Friday night beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Storm then host the Simpson Invitational on Saturday.
