7 Named to IIAC Winter All-Academic Team
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Simpson placed seven student-athletes on the 2013 Iowa Conference Winter All-Academic Team.
To be eligible for IIAC All-Academic Team honors a student-athlete must compete at the varsity level, be at least a sophomore in academic standing and attain a 3.5 or better grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
The women’s basketball team led the way with three selections, one each from men's basketball, wrestling, men's swimming and women's swimming.
In all, 89 student-athletes from the conference met the requirements for the All-Academic Team.
