Gordon leads Storm to 13th at Wartburg Invite
WAVERLY, Iowa — Hannah Gordon fired the Simpson women's golf team's lowest round of the weekend with a 79 Sunday, leading the Storm to a 13th place finish of 20 teams at the Wartburg Invitational.
Simpson shot 338 as a team, shaving two strokes from Saturday's opening round. Simpson's two-round total of 678 was 23 strokes back of 12th-place Bethel. Carleton won the tournament by two strokes over Wis.-Stout.
Gordon finished tied for 22nd, totaling 159 for the weekend. Lydia Martin tied for 63rd, shooting an 85 Sunday while Kelsa Berkland had Simpson's second-lowest round of the day with an 83.

Simpson has cancelled its appearance at the Briar Cliff Invitational for Sept. 15-16 and instead will send its full squad to the one-day Graceland Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 16. Tee time is set for 10 a.m.
