Martin leads Storm to fourth at Sail Classic
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Lydia Martin followed her career-best round with an 82 Sunday, leading the Simpson women's golf team to a fourth-place finish of 10 teams at the Sail Classic.
The Storm shot 328 as a team -- one shot better than Saturday -- to finish at 657 for the weekend, ahead of Dubuque and Mount Mercy (671). Luther won the tournament by 12 strokes.
Martin finished the weekend tied for ninth with a two-round total of 160. Hannah Gordon matched Martin's 82 Sunday to earn a top-20 finish, netting 166 to tie for 18th.
Kelsa Berkland had the best round of the day, cutting 10 strokes to post a career-low 80.
